It opened on April 20, 1912, and is known for its distinctive “Green Monster” left-field wall, which stands 37 feet high. Fenway Park has hosted numerous historic events, including the 1912 World Series, which was the first ever played at the stadium, and the famous 1975 World Series Game 6, which featured Carlton Fisk’s game-winning home run. It is also the oldest ballpark still in use by any MLB team, and has undergone numerous renovations over the years to modernize and update the stadium while still maintaining its historic charm.
